Why Give to Girl Scouts of Western New York?

Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, but we can't do it without parents and volunteers—and your financial support.

Girl Scouts of Western New York invest an average of $200 per Girl Scout each year to turn today's girls into tomorrow's leaders, and we need your help to sustain and enhance our quality programs.  100% of your gift will stay right here in the Western New York community.

What percentage of Girl Scout Registration fees stay in the local Western New York Community?
The $12.00 annual registration fee for girl and adult members goes entirely to Girl Scouts of the United States of America to provide the national organization with funds to develop new programs, create national marketing  initiatives, and manage the organization at the national level.  None of this money is retained by Girl Scouts of Western New York for local use, which is why support from our generous donors is always greatly appreciated.

Why is my purchase of Girl Scout Cookies not considered a gift to Girl Scouts?
Girl Scout Cookies and the Girl Scout Fall Product Sales are programs designed to teach Girl Scouts a variety of skills, including goal-setting, public speaking, and teamwork.  These products are considered an exchange of goods, and the fair market value of these items is not tax deductible.
